Are you in need of a break?

Our Carers Personal Budget Scheme may be able to help you.

A Carers Personal Budget is an amount of money awarded to you to give you a break from your caring role. You could receive up to £300 if you are successful and you can choose how and when this is spent.  The Carers Personal Budget Co-ordinator will help you to complete the application process and can even help you tailor your break if you need it. You will also learn about local services available to you as a Carer and get support to access these.

To access a Personal Budget you need to live in Cheshire West and Chester.

A Personal Budget is not means tested and you can use your budget to access things such as leisure activities, short breaks, gym memberships, swimming or spa classes, dance classes or perhaps you want to take up a new hobby or take up some sight seeing?

Please note: you cannot apply for everyday items, pay for goods or trips that you have already purchases, pay for respite care, gambling, drugs or alcohol, services of a sex worker or items for the cared for person.

Our Helpline is Available Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm on 0300 102 0008
