This national Course for Carers is being offered to all Carers through Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust fully trained and accredited staff.

The course lasts for several weeks, and covers different topics which well help you to be more confident in your caring role. The first session is a taster and you can choose which sessions, if not all, that you would like to attend.

The Course is very much Carer-led, allowing you to share experiences and coping techniques with other Carers – engaging with each other and problem solving in a relaxed and friendly environment.

All course materials and resources are provided free of charge as are refreshments.

We run courses across the county and separate courses for Parent Carers if they prefer.

Emergency Card Service

If you are a Carer, you may worry about what would happen to the person you care for should you find yourself in an emergency situation and unable to fulfil your caring role.

Support for Parent Carers

If you care for a child or young person age up to 19 years and live in Cheshire East or Cheshire West and Chester we have a range of specialist services to support you.

Benefits Advice & Assistance (West)

Many Carers miss out on benefits they, or the person they care for are entitled to.

Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust may be able to offer advice and assistance with specific Carer related benefit claims and help with the associated paperwork. Appointments can be made at our offices or at your home.

Regular Carer Break Groups

Carer Break sessions are held regularly across the county at a number of local venues. They provide an opportunity to meet other Carers and chat to Carers Centre staff. They are usually based around a coffee morning with occasional presentations by speakers and organised activities.

Male Carers Support Group- Crewe

This is a monthly group for Male Carers – the meetings take place in Crewe.

All male carers are welcome to attend. The group take part in activities, sometimes a trip, sometimes a speaker will visit the group – it is a perfect opportunity to take a break from your caring role and gain support from other male carers.

Complementary Therapies & Relaxation

Caring for someone can be stressful and exhausting. Cheshire Carers Centre offer a range of complementary therapies at the Crewe, Macclesfield and Chester Centres. Treatments offered include neck, head and shoulder massage, relexology, aromatherapy and reiki.

Young Adult Carers

In the Warrington and North Cheshire (Northwich and surrounding) areas.

The service will provide Support Groups (held at C & WCT Northwich or Warrington offices), One-to-one support, Volunteer and employment opportunities, Confidence building…

Young Carers Fund

We have a project to support Young Carers in conjunction with other Young Carer services in the Central and Eastern Cheshire PCT footprint.
