About Us
Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust was established in 1994 to provide information, advice and support for unpaid carers across Cheshire and since 2013 offering limited services in Warrington. We have offices in Northwich, Chester and Crewe. We are a network partner of Carers Trust giving us links to over 100 over local carers organisations and a route to national policy and voice.

In Cheshire West and Chester we have led the Cheshire West Carer Support Service since 2018 and have recently been funded to lead the new Better Together for Carers and Older People service from January 2025 onwards.

In Cheshire East we offer support for carers and parent carers through our short breaks and support services. In Warrington we are developing services to complement existing provision.
From January 2025 Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust are pleased to be working with Snow Angels and OPAL to provide a new service called Better Together for Carers and Older People. This service will combine telephone, online, and in-person support for carers and older people living in Cheshire West and Chester. More details about this service coming soon.

Across the UK there are more than 5 million carers providing support to members of their family, friends, and neighbours, assisting them with a wide variety of daily tasks and support needs. This may include personal care, practical help, or emotional support. Supporting carers is essential to ensure they can provide care effectively for the person they look after. In Cheshire West and Chester there are an estimated 40,000 carers. Collectively carers save £162 billion each year in the UK*, equating to over £200 million across Cheshire and Warrington.
